Article for Round Up August 2014

Hi everybody welcome to the club news.

Hope you are all surviving the winter chill. It has certainly difficult to predict attendances. Over the past month we have gone from 5 sets one night to two sets on another which was our worst attendance for many many years.

Several of our dances attended the SACA Dance which was very enjoyable. Whilst numbers were low calling was good and it was a very friendly atmosphere and thank you to the members of SACA.

July 15 was our Bastille Day, French night . Thank you to all who dressed in red white & blue. Special thanks to Jacqueline Baumgartner who arranged the catered supper. Of course being French she knew exactly what to make. Thank you to Peter Stavast & Greg Megow for the photo opportunity, dancers could get their photo taken in the guillotine.

Our beginners are making steady progress, numbers remain static and it won’t be long before we start with some mainstream movements.

It was also great to welcome Moira from Launceston Square Dance Club who paid us a visit.

Looking forward to the State Convention

Happy Dancing from Anne & Les
